The Segway Navimow is an advanced piece of kit. They say its Exact Fusion Locating System will keep the Navimow grass cutter to “precise positions and systematic mowing patterns,” keeping its position accurate to within two centimeters. If the robot's GPS signal is temporarily weak, the Navimow has sensors all around that will keep it mowing.
The Segway robot is very easy to install. A well designed, simple to use smartphone app takes you through each part of the installation. The user defines mowing areas by walking the robot lawnmower around the perimeter of the lawn. You can also give it directions for which areas to avoid. Segway says the Navimow’s algorithm “determines a systemic mowing path,” and doesn’t have to criss cross already-mowed areas.
Another excellent design feature of the range are the offset blades that let it cut as close as possible on a lawn’s edges. The Navimow Blade Halt technology can detect objects in the grass like pets, toys, or even kids. It stops the mower’s blades from spinning. Another great feature with the Navimow H series is the rain sensor. Thanks to it's IP66 waterproof rating the unit itself can safely withstand rain fall and washing - essential for us in Ireland. When engaged the rain sensor will send the Navimow back to the station when it senses rain. This feature can be easily turned on or off.
The Navimow range has 4 models to choose from, with work areas ranging from 800m2 to 3000m2. The i108E and H800-VF will cover lawn areas of up to 800m2. The H1500-VF will cover lawns of up to 1500m2 and the H3000-VF will maintain areas of lawn up to 3000m2.
